FOR THE PEOPLE
Our programs provide the skills to transform both individuals and societies.
We build sustainable communities through leadership, environmental education, citizen science, and direct public policy advocacy.
The 1:3 Impact Model
Our sustainability model is built on a simple yet profound multiplier: 1:3. This means that for every international participant who joins an ECOS expedition, they are directly funding the training and field placement of three local youth.
Learn.
Training the Next Generation
We provide the resources for local youth to master the science. Your participation funds rigorous training in ecological monitoring and biosecurity, giving them the technical tools needed for professional-grade fieldwork.
Explore.
Action in the Wild
Education moves from the classroom to the front lines. These funds fuel youth-led brigades that execute systematic expeditions into remote island ecosystems, gathering vital data that helps local authorities protect our “common legacy.”
Multiply.
A Self-Sustaining Future
By equipping three local leaders for every one traveler, we are rapidly building a “green talent pool.” This creates a permanent workforce ready to drive the local economy; ensuring that the future of the Galapagos is led by the people who call it home.
Education for Sustainable Communities
At ECOS, we bridge the gap between intent and impact in Galápagos. We turn good intentions into real conservation through structured citizen science and local leadership.
